Policy and Management

The Global Code of Conduct is the legal and ethical backbone of Degussa's corporate policy. It reflects the way the company should present itself in its dealings with employees, customers and suppliers, competitors, as well as the society.

The binding guidelines also include Policies on Environment, Safety, Health and Quality in which Degussa declares its commitment to chemistry and its utilization in industrial and consumer applications. The Degussa Global Social Policy also lays down the outline conditions for a working environment in which the individuality of all persons is respected and which encourages initiatives on the site of all employees.


ESHQ Policy

The Policy on Environment, Safety, Health and Quality is intended to protect the natural basis of life in the long term and is part of Degussa's corporate policy. It allows us to pursue our vision "Everybody benefits from a Degussa product - every day and everywhere." More


Goals and Ongoing Improvements

To ensure a continuous improvement in ESHQ performance, Degussa sets corporate and site-specific goals. These enhance transparency and act as a guide and an incentive to employees. More


Manangement System and Regulations

Degussa's ESHQ Requirements specify the minimum requirements that are to be met in terms of environmental protection, safety, health and quality within the Degussa Group. They are based on an integral manangement system that covers all aspects of health and environmental protection. More


Dialogue

At Degussa dialogue means to inform openly, honestly and comprehensively, to exchange, to listen and learn from another. No matter whether it takes place between fellow employees, or with customers, stockholders, neighbors, authorities, politicians or NGO representatives. More

Responsibility Worldwide

Degussa is a member of the World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD) and is committed to the global Responsible Care initiative.

Furthermore Degussa is member of econsense - Forum for Sustainable Development of German Business.

We are also included in the FTSE4Good Index. This is a share index that rates companies specifically on sustainability criteria.
